Home to the vibrant city of Toronto, the majestic Niagara Falls, Algonquin Provincial Park and thousands of lakes,
Ontario has diverse and beautiful scenery suitable for a fabulous holiday, year round.
The following tour of Ontario’s scenic highlights - with either motorhome or car and hotels - will take 10 - 14
days. It can be extended, shortened or amended to suit your needs!

DAY 1 - Toronto to Niagara Falls (80 miles)
Begin your grand tour of Ontario by taking in the sights of this cosmopolitan city and enjoy the CN Tower,
explore the Royal Ontario Museum or the shops at the massive Toronto Eaton Centre or catch a boat cruise at
the waterfront and tour around the Toronto Islands.
Collect your hire car or motorhome and set off for Niagara Falls. See the thundering falls from various
thrilling vantage points, including Journey Behind the Falls, Maid of the Mist and Niagara Helicopters.
Browse Niagara-on-the-Lake's unique shops, before slipping into a robe at a quaint country inn. For great eats,
go wining and dining in wineries - Niagara has more than 50.

DAY 2 - Niagara Falls to Manitoulin Island (230 miles)
Take a rural drive to the rugged Bruce Peninsula, where you'll enjoy some of the best hiking Ontario offers.
By end of day, board the Chi-Cheernaun ferry and set up camp on the Aboriginal-heritage-rich island of
Manitoulin.

DAY 3 - Manitoulin Island to Killarney Provincial Park (140 miles)
Watch the sunrise over Georgian Bay before touring the island's distinct communities. Let Aboriginal guides
introduce you to the symbolism of hoopdancing or traditional crafts. Sample local cuisine and browse local
craft stores.

DAY 5 - Killarney Provincial Park to Muskoka (105 miles)
Killarney is the ideal destination for outdoor enthusiasts, notably canoeists and hikers. You'll be awed by
brilliant white quartzite cliffs of the La Cloche Mountains and the beautiful wind-swept jack pines.
Pack a lunch and picnic on the shores of its clear freshwater lakes and rivers.

DAY 7 - Muskoka to Algonquin Provincial Park (47 miles)
Head south to the picturesque Muskoka region and explore quaint towns such as Huntsville, Bracebridge,
Bala and Gravenhurst. From full-service resorts to housekeeping cottages or a ruralcampsite, all with a range
of on-site activities, there's a perfect place in Muskoka awaiting you.

DAY 10 - Algonquin Provincial Park to Ottawa (218 miles)
Drive to Ottawa, Canada's capital city. Take in a free tour of Parliament Hill, the seat of Canadian democracy.
Then hop across the Ottawa River for an in-depth look at culture and heritage at the Canadian Museum of
Civilization. Come dinnertime, the By Ward Market has eclectic dining choices.

DAY 11 - Ottawa to Kingston (109 miles)
Stroll the shoreline of the Rideau Canal as it meanders through the city. Experience the rich culture and
history of Canada's First People with Aboriginal Experiences. Then drive south for a 1000 Islands cruise on the
St. Lawrence River. Follow the river to the 'LimestoneCity' of Kingston and stay in one of their famed bed and
breakfasts or country inns.

DAY 12 - Kingston to Toronto (162 miles)
Begin with a Confederation Tour Trolley to orientate yourself with the deep history and many attractions
Kingston offers. Go on a shopping spree downtown. Listen to cannonfire and watch 19th century military
demonstrations at Fort Henry before driving back to Toronto to drop your vehicle and start for home.
