You are required to stop in both directions for any school bus with flashing lights When stopped for passengers, a sign will swing out from the side of the bus, or flashing lights will be activated, and it is illegal to pass the bus in either direction.
Most gasoline stations require you to pay before filling up - even if no sign is displayed. And lots offer a discount if paying by cash rather than credit card.
